anonnim sent: What do you think of Superboy and Black Canary develop something in the second season?

Ummh.

In terms of whether I think it’s going to happen? Preeeetty sure it won’t. Even though they’re both biologically adults, and even if they both give their complete consent to a relationship with each other, Cartoon Network’s gonna have a tough time with parents, given the pedophilia issue and whatnot. Greg and Brandon did sort of make a huge point on how Conner isn’t aging physically. Also, I’m pretty sure Dinah is still in a happy relationship with Ollie.

In terms of how I feel about it? I dunno. It’s one of the pairings I’m kind of neutral about. I’m not quite sure how I feel about them together at this point, and I really love Ollie/Dinah. I think that maybe I could understand Conner having a little crush on Dinah, but again, Dinah’s still with Ollie, and Conner is mainly concerned with M’gann right now. Regardless, though, it’s hot.

Hot like Creamsicle.

Wait what.

(Also, yeeeeeeush! AP World History is FINALLY over, and even though SATs are coming, I can finally breathe a little bit!)

I'm probably late acknowledging this, but there are descriptions for some of the new characters on the Cartoon Network site.

A few of them are still missing though.

Some things that stood out to me:

  • Conner is still learning to control his temper. He kind of improved a lot on that throughout the first season, so it’s weird that he’s still struggling with his temper. Maybe he kind of reverted back to his angry self when he broke up with M’gann?
  • M’gann can phase through solid objects. The fact that we didn’t get to see her powers developing onscreen makes me really sad.. Especially since they kind of foreshadowed it in the third episode.
  • Garfield and M’gann are like siblings.

I don’t get why people think Wally hating magic wasn’t explained

Kaldur already pointed out that he uses science to understand the world and that believing in magic would force him to give up his understanding of the world overall.

I guess they wanted more of why he’s so scientific? If I recall correctly though, Barry was a scientist, so that probably rubbed off on him. The same thing happened to me, my father and brother being really scientific people too.

I liked the way angelsangelsangels put it here:

Wally never stated that he hated Magic. In fact, he never stated that he didn’t believe in it. What he did was “give it a reason.” It’s not that he doesn’t believe in magic, it’s that he doesn’t think things happen because they do, they happen because of something. When people started theorizing that Zatanna and him would have arguments about magic I always thought that that wouldn’t really work because Zatanna’s magic is clearly something that he’d be able to explain. For one, it’s genetic. And two, it’s power is measurable. He’s not denying the existence of magic, he’s denying the half-assed explanation of “because it’s magic.” People should really give him a break for his “closed-minded-ness.”
